What does DHT11 do?

The DHT11 is a basic, ultra low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air and spits out a digital signal on the data pin (no analog input pins needed). It's fairly simple to use but requires careful timing to grab data.

What is the range of DHT11?

0°C to 50°C The DHT11 sensor temperature range is 0°C to 50°C and the lower temperature limit is reached when it reports 1°C. The temperature descends below that value, but the sensor is not capable of reading lower and saturates. DHT22, BME280, HTU21D, and SHT31 sensors can read temperature values down to -40°C.
